JOE BARLOW
I’m a Senior Multi-Disciplined Post-Production Artist who has been captivated by the magic of moving images since I was a kid, experimenting with stop-motion animation and making little films just for fun. That curiosity stuck with me, shaping the way I see storytelling and creativity.
After studying film at Walsall College and Ravensbourne University, I’ve spent over 10 years turning that fascination into a career, freelancing in visual effects and motion graphics, exploring how animation can make learning more engaging at Learning Labs, and creating work for tech, engineering, and finance clients at Big Button Media. Each project has taught me something new about how visuals can communicate ideas and connect with people.
Today, I focus on crafting story-driven visuals that not only capture attention but make ideas memorable. I bring a combination of creativity, technical skill, and storytelling instinct to every project, helping brands and creators turn concepts into work people remember and respond to.
Skills
Familiar with a wide range of industry standard software, including the Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, and Affinity products. Specialise in After Effects, with a strong focus on problem-solving and delivering creative solutions across motion graphics and post-production.
